Well progress, with most of the Elephant & Caslte cycle by pass reopening.

The new resurfacing on Churchayard Row is great. The revamped crossing of Newington Butts ok. I don’t see the point of push buttons for people on horses or cyclists having to mount the new raised pavement.

Real missed opportunity to correct the route and use Oswin Street rather than Elliot’s Row. Shame. I reall ushed for this but clearly new Southwark administration have’nt.

Tinkering with the crossing of London Road achieving nothing so far. I pushed for the cycle path entrance to be parallel on the northern side with the pedestrian one but no changes so far. So no doubt it will be blocked by buses as it always has been.

No enforcement of illegal parking on the east side of Southwark Bridge Road where the police officers don’t park within the curtailage of the police building (just north of the junction with Borough Road).

Still no news on the Southwark Bridge Road 20mph zone. Told this will happen after all the other physical changes.

 Overall so far 6/10 mostly for effort rather than substance or usability.
