Earlier this month the first ever commercial space craft – SpaceX’s Dragon capsule and Falcon rocket – pressurised so it COULD have carried astronauts had its initial test flight. It was a complete success. It took NASA three attempts to have its first safe test flight.

This is a landmark in changing access to space from the military and governments and the odd mega rich space tourists to just super rich people. But eventually it will become cheap enough for many people to experience space.
